One of the main winemaking philosophies we embrace is that good wine always starts in the vineyard. The winter months are a critical time to start preparing the vines in order to work towards a successful harvest in Summer.
Come and visit us to gain some insight into what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ during the more ‘quiet’ season of the year.
We will welcome you with a hearty warm bowl of Bressmade soup, utilising what the Bress Garden gives us during the winter months. Adam will then take you into the vineyard for a lesson in ‘vine husbandry’ including the fine art of vine pruning and wrapping down. After that, it’s straight to the barrel shed where we will be checking on some of the wines currently in barrel to give you some understanding and appreciation of the role oak plays in the development of a wine.
