Our Cellar Door is open for tastings and sales from 11.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays and other times by chance.

Visitors can choose from a complimentary tasting of a selection of our Silver Chook range, or can indulge in our Gold Chook tasting in our beautiful Bress Burgundy glasses for $5 per person.

Eating

From Spring to Autumn we welcome you for lunch on weekends at The Bresstaurant.  You can dine taking in the view of Mount Alexander in our alfresco dining area outside Cellar Door or soaking up the atmosphere of the engine room of Bress at one of the tables in the Winery.

At Bress we want you to feel like we’ve welcomed you to our home for lunch so dining at the Bress Kitchen is a shared table experience, with food served in the same manner. Fresh, quality ingredients, cooked simply is our cooking philosophy.

The Summer – Autumn 2017 season has welcomed some changes to The Bresstaurant, which has now taken on a slightly more relaxed vibe, as we embrace the Italian ‘Osteria’ style of dining.

Lunch is a simple selection of nutritious and delicious delights, using both the produce from our garden, partnered with our artisanal house-made bread, the goods of local producers and some very special morsels at the top of their game in Italia.   A set menu for a steady afternoon graze, coupled with a complimentary Gold Chook tasting plus a personal tour of the Bress property is $45 per person.

One weekend per month is still dedicated to our more celebratory style feast, usually with our signature wood-fired roasted chicken as the star of the three course show.  $60 per person for 3 courses, commencing at 1pm.

Children are always welcome, and are looked after for $15 per child.

Bress is still able to cater very well for those who are gluten intolerant and vegetarian, but offerings for other dietary restrictions are extremely limited due to the structure of our menu and our limited kitchen space.

Group Tastings

Due to the limited space of our Cellar Door and the experience we want to offer larger numbers of visitors at Bress, we provide a different service to groups of 8 or more people.

Groups can choose from 1 of 2 options:

The Bress Silver Experience

The Bress Silver Experience commences with a guided tour of the Bress gardens and winery.  Guests are then guided through the winemaking process and professional tasting techniques whilst tasting 5 selections from our Silver Chook range of wines. For our groups we take them for a tour of the winery and explain how wine is made.

Approx 45 minutes

$15.00 per person

Includes Bress Gently Sparkling Mineral Water

 

The Bress Gold Experience

The Bress Gold Experience commences with a guided tour of the Bress gardens and winery.  Guests are then guided through the winemaking process and professional tasting techniques whilst tasting our entire Gold Chook range of wines and a selection of our Silver Chook – all in premium Reiner Burgundy glasses.

We also serve a selection of cheese and smallgoods to enjoy whilst conducting the tasting.

Approx 60 minutes

$30.00 per person

Includes Bress Gently Sparkling Mineral Water

 

Given that we take these experiences seriously, we ask that your group does the same.  We only accept tour groups between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm as we are committed to lunch service after this.

Payment for bookings must be made prior to arrival and can be arranged via our Cellar Door.

The Bress Kitchen is open from the first weekend in September through till the end of May, with a short Christmas & New Year break.
